Adventure Air, the nation’s premier gyroplane flight school and maintenance provider, is expanding and looking for a motivated Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. We specialize in light sport gyroplanes and Rotax engines, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem solving, and being part of a growing aviation company.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience in small engines (power-sports, motorcycles, ATVs, lawn equipment, snowmobiles, etc.)
✅ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
✅ Ability to follow maintenance manuals, checklists, and safety procedures
✅ Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
✅ Willingness to learn gyroplane and Rotax systems (training provided)
Preferred But Not Required
Rotax 9-series engine experience
A&P License (or working toward it)
Previous aviation or experimental/LSA experience
Familiarity with torque specs, safety wire, logbook entries, FOD standards
Job Duties:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gyroplanes
Assist in engine inspections, oil changes, component replacement, troubleshooting
Maintain a safe, organized hangar and tool environment
Document work performed (training provided if unfamiliar with FAA logbook standards)
