Perfusionist- Westwood

DescriptionPerfusionists are dailysupervised and given routine work assignments and responsibilities by theDirector. Perform assigned clinical and non-clinical functions as directed andsupervised by the Director, and/or perform specialized perfusion services inconjunction with assistance of a Senior Perfusionist and the Attending CardiacSurgeon.Under the order of the AttendingPhysician, the Perfusionist provides patient care in the form ofsupport services of extracorporeal circulation and/or oxygenation, myocardialand/or organ protection and preservation, blood component and drug/fluidadministration. This includes assembly and operation of the heart-lung machineand extracorporeal circuits, operation of heater, coolers and cardioplegiadelivery systems, also blood concentrators, coagulation monitors and long-termassist devices, etc. This may include operation of devices such as adult IABP,VAS, ECMO and CPS.Salary Range: $87.42 to $96.53 hourlyQualificationsMinimum 2 years of adult and 6 months pediatricexperience required.BA/BS or MA/MS degree required.CCP (ABCP) withing 24 months of graduation required.BLS from American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross.UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person’s unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
