job title: Journeyman Electrician

We are looking for a journeyman electrician to join our company and become a part of our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates plans and specifications with Project Managers / Superintendents

Installs and maintains electrical switches, cords and outlets; repairs lights, timers, fire/smoke detectors, electrical fixtures, motors and switch gears; installs and maintains electrical fixtures and equipment; diagnoses causes of electrical outages and interruptions; repairs electrical system

MUST be able to start commercial projects from start to finish as per plans & specification

MUST be able to read prints and do the required electrical work.

Installs, modifies, troubleshoots, cleans and repairs elements of the power distribution system.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalent is required. FOUR years of experience at a journey level is required. This experience must include the full range of activities performed by this position as well as responsibility for scheduling and monitoring the completion of projects and maintaining electrical equipment. This experience must include planning, estimating, scheduling and direct supervision of a team of electricians. A driver's license that is valid in the state of California is required. A current California General Journeyman Electrician License is required.

Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered qualifying.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of local and national electrical codes and standard electrical procedures;

Knowledge of and skill in: all phases of electrical installation and repair; the operation of all electrical tools and test equipment used in electrical installation and repair; applying occupational safety precautions and practices;

Skill in training and monitoring performance of staff.

Must be able to travel
