We are seeking a full-time exceptionally bright, energetic, agile and self-motivated individual to serve as a full-time dog caretaker and legal assistant for our civil litigation office in Koreatown.
The attorney brings his dog (3 yr old Doberman Pinscher) to the office daily and while the dog is very friendly and sociable, the dog requires daily STRENUOUS, HARDCORE, AND DEMANDING physical exercise of up to several hours per day. This is a physically demanding position where the ideal candidate must be willing to spend MINIMUM 3 hours per day outside (i.e. out of the office) with the dog.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs and is eager to work hard, while adding value in a "no job is too big or too small" mentality.
Must be willing to care take of a large dog (YES, it means you do have to pick up dog poop)
Taking the dog to the dog park (Silver Lake Dog Park) twice daily (morning and late afternoon to exercise and play fetch with the dog daily (30-40 minutes each time)
Drive to the attorney’s residence (located in South Pasadena; approx. 30 min. drive from Silver Lake Dog Park) after working out the dog at the dog park to drop the dog off and feed the dog
Assist with the drafting and filing of legal documents and correspondence
Maintain attorney's calendars; schedules meetings and depositions
Assist with various personal errands
This is position where you MUST be willing to potentially spend MINIMUM 3 hours a day outside regardless of weather (i.e. walking the dog, exercising the dog at the dog park, dropping off the dog at attorney’s residence, feeding the dog) in addition to in-office legal work and personal errands for the attorney
Prerequisites:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have experience with large dogs (preferably large breeds over 70-80 lbs.)
Must have a 4-door vehicle
Prior law firm/law office experience preferred
Korean or Spanish-speaking preferred
Pay: $22/hr.
GAS WILL BE REIMBURSED AT CURRENT IRS RATE OF 70 CENTS PER MILE
1-WEEK OF PAID VACATION PER YEAR
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:30 am – 5 pm)
OVERTIME HOURS of 4-5 hrs. per week on will be required
