Salon Assistant Needed – Santa Monica Hair Salon (Part-Time)
We are hiring a Salon Assistant to work directly with the salon owner.
This is a great opportunity for someone licensed or currently in cosmetology school who wants hands-on experience in a professional salon environment.The Salon Assistant will work directly with the salon owner and help with day-to-day operations in the salon. Responsibilities include:
Shampooing clients
Assisting with blowouts
Applying color after training
Keeping the owner’s station clean and organized
Light cleaning and general salon upkeep (sweeping, laundry, tidying)
Helping with towels, smocks, and basic organization
Greeting clients and providing excellent customer service
Learning light scheduling and checking clients in using the Vagaro online booking system
Maintaining a professional and fashion-forward appearance
Supporting a positive, enthusiastic salon environment
This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience, is eager to learn, and is either licensed or currently attending cosmetology school.
