Schedule: M-F 25-40hrs/weekly

Pay: $22-$25/HOUR

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and be proficient in various accounting software. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

High volume AP/AR

Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Maintain general ledger entries and prepare monthly financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulations.

Utilize financial software, including Sage, for efficient record-keeping and reporting.

Conduct governmental accounting tasks as required.

Process payroll and manage employee records accurately.

Prepare tax returns and assist with audits as necessary.

Provide support in financial analysis and budgeting processes.

Collaborate with management to improve financial processes and reporting.

Skills

Proficient in double entry bookkeeping principles.

High volume AP/AR.

Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation techniques.

Cost accounting.

Job cost reports.

Executive level reporting

Experience with construction accounting practices is a plus.

Experience using Sage or similar financial software is preferred.

Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.

Solid understanding of financial concepts and reporting standards.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Contract management.

Customer and vendor relations.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
