$36 to $41hr depending on experience.

Residential facility for 59 people with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, and epilepsy is looking for Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in Santa Barbara.

Summary: We are looking for a compassionate LPN with an ability to remain calm under pressure. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patients, performing routine checks, and assisting doctors and nurses. To be successful as an LPN you should be able to take direction and work well in stressful situations. A good LPN has great observational skills and empathy for patients while remaining professional.

Responsibilities:

Perform gastric lavage and specimen collection processing.

Assist in case management and medical documentation.

Provide care in various medical settings such as hospitals, clinics, and primary care facilities.

Work closely with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Administer DME (Durable Medical Equipment) as needed.

Support inpatient care and assist with internal medicine procedures.

Monitor patients throughout their treatment.

Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs.

Ensure that patients take their medication.

Assist doctors and registered nurses.

Liaise with patients' families.

Requirements:

Previous experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, or primary care settings is preferred.

Proficiency in clinical tasks such as specimen collection processing and clinic operations.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.

Completed LPN license program.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Empathy for patients.

Ability to take instructions from doctors and nurses.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
