We are seeking a full-time Controller to become a contributing member of our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with a diverse group of individuals and executives, and be driven to deliver outstanding customer service to both colleagues and clients. They should be well-organized, meticulous, and reliable in completing projects and tasks. Proficiency in QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office suite is required. As the company expands, there is potential for this position to transition to full-time.

Successful candidate must have expert level knowledge of the following in the State of California:

Construction Industry

Prevailing Wage Laws

Sales Tax Laws

Responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining a 12 month budget that forecasts revenue, expenses, and balance sheet

Developing and maintaining a 12 month cash budget

Implementing and enforcing company policies across departments

Underwriting customer credit for contract agreements

Managing Payroll - including prevailing wage jobs

Recording and processing all invoices

Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Setting up and processing new vendors in the system

Generating, processing, and entering Purchase Orders

Tracking and processing employee reimbursements

Compiling financial reports as required

Overseeing customer and vendor accounts

Qualifications:

5+ years experience as a controller of $20M+ revenue firm

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in book-keeping/accounting

Prior experience in the construction industry is a strong plus

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with QuickBooks Online

Strong background in Accounting and Business Administration

College degree in Accounting/Business Administration
