DNA Pizza is hiring an experienced line cook, preferably with experience in hand tossed pizza!
DNA Pizza is a restaurant connected to DNA Lounge, offering food and fast service to our patrons during both hours of venue operations, and local street fairs such as Dore Alley and Folsom. We are a supportive LGBTQIA+ workplace and encourage expression and identity.
PIZZA COOK
This is primarily an NIGHT / EVENING position.
Shifts are typically Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays with 2-3 other employees. Must be available on Weekends and able to commit to a semi-regular schedule.
Qualifications:
- Restaurant Line Cook experience
- Must be available Nights / Evenings
- Must be available on Weekends
- ANSI Food Handlers Card
Preferred:
- Experience with hand-tossed pizza
- Looking for long-term employment
Job Summary:
- Stretching dough and topping pizzas
- Launching and removing pizzas from gas deck oven
- Cutting pizzas and finishing orders
- Preparing fried appetizers with commercial deep fryer
- Cleaning and sanitizing stations, ovens, equipment, dishes, and floors with closing team
- Closing shifts typically leave around 3:30am
$20-22/hr to start, plus pooled tips with the potential to earn more hourly based on experience and aptitude.
