Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance the efficiency of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Repairs: Waterproofing, siding & trim repair, stairs & landings, balconies, decks, painting, roofing, stucco, lath repair, and interior repairs. Includes destructive testing to identify root causes of damage.

Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs to prevent recurrence.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations. Maintain a safe work environment, utilizing tools and equipment safely while handling hazardous materials appropriately.

Documentation/Communication: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work, including repairs and inspections. Ensure clear and consistent communication with supervisors and adhere to all regulatory standards.

Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments and team members to meet facility needs and ensure equipment functionality.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of parts and tools to ensure availability for repairs and replacements.

Emergency Repairs: Be available for on-call emergency repairs and troubleshooting as required to ensure continued operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a construction or facilities management environment.

Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair methods for interior and exterior reconstruction work.

Excellent problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills. Exceptional communication skills are required; bilingual (English and Spanish) and the ability to work independently or as part of a team and ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Comfortable working with chemicals, electrical equipment, and machinery.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the maintenance required.

Work can be physically demanding, requiring manual labor and the use of safety equipment.
