We seek an outgoing and engaging Tasting Room Associate to host guests and create memorable experiences. As the face of Croma Vera, you will play a key role in educating visitors about Croma Vera’s wines and history while providing exceptional customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead guests through wine tasting experiences
- Create a memorable, personalized experience for guests
- Introduce guests to our wines, winery story, winemaking, and vineyards
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Sign up guests to our wine club
- Present a professional, positive demeanor
- Operate a point-of-sale system (Shopify), prepare and fulfill orders
- Participate in and help coordinate special events
- Have an interest in continuing education in the wine industry
- Maintain a clean tasting room based on operating procedures
- Cleaning, glass washing, inventory stocking, and other tasks as needed
- Perform opening and closing duties
Compensation
Compensation ranges from $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Tips and wine club sign-up bonuses are an additional and significant source of income. Access to a 401(k) plan with employer match.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 1+ years of previous experience in the wine industry or hospitality
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, special events, and holidays
- Responsible beverage service (RBS) certification
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
