Description We are a growing construction company seeking a proficient Bookkeeper with construction experience, to oversee our financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. This role extends to some Office Manager duties, making it a significant role within our company structure.Job Description: We are looking for an organized and driven Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team. The Bookkeeper will work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. The Office Manager duties will involve organizing office operations, therefore require excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:
Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
Conduct reconciliations of all accounts on an as needed basis
Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
Coordinate office activities, such as staffing, records control, and special events
Evaluate office production, update procedures, or devise new forms to improve efficiency of workflows
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field preferred
Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable practices
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
