Speech-Language Pathology Assistant - WindsorResponsibilities include executing specific components of a speech and language service delivery program as specified in a treatment plan, under the direction and supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist.Specific duties may include:
Providing select direct services under the direction and monitoring of the supervising SLP.
Assisting in an array of indirect instructional activities as directed by the SLP.
Working with individuals or small groups as assigned, directed and supervised by the SLP.
Following laws and regulations regarding the rights of children, adults, and family.
Following the guidelines for the scope of services as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Minimum qualifications:
2-year SLPA (or related) program degree from an accredited institution (e.g., associates degree from a community college or technical training program)
Eligibility to take the SLPA certification exam (to become ASHA SLPA certified).
Experience working with student with special needs.
Must be able to pass a two-day safety care training program without restrictions
