Accelerated Contractors is currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager/Project Coordinator to work on multiple projects simultaneously. We have been building Jacksonville for over 30 years and have an immediate opening for an experienced Assistant Project Manager. Responsibilities/ Duties:

1. Identifies and qualifies subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work. Prepares and transmits bid packages and invitations to bid. Receives and analyzes received bids. In conjunction with project manager, may negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders.

2. May be responsible for applying for, tracking and expediting project permits.

3. Works with accounting to maintain subcontractor and vendor requirements for payment processing.

4. Works with project team to prepare and update progress schedules including short term interval schedules. Assists in planning construction operations and sequences.

5. As directed by project manager, may interact with client including correspondence, periodic reports, change order requests, submittal of pay requisitions, and response to client inquiries and directives.

6. Assists superintendent with subcontractor coordination, safety and quality management, and job site reporting and controls.

7. Assists in preparation of project close-out requirements including unit cost history, operations and maintenance manuals, punch list management and agency inspections.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Skills

1. Knowledge of the construction industry, including methods, engineering, equipment, technology, safety, etc.

2. Ability to monitor resources, including budgets, schedules and materials, in an environment of multiple, competing demands.

3. Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration and analytical skills.

This position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
