Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer 2025 Facilities Intern to assist in the implementation of a maintenance virtual reality program. In this role, you will drive new uses of state-of-the-art technology to revolutionize how our buildings are maintained and operated. You will work closely with site Facilities Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Teams to perform duties such as: Assist in the design and development of virtual reality (VR) simulations for maintenance training. Test and debug VR simulations to ensure functionality and usability. Collaborate with engineers and developers to integrate VY simulations into existing maintenance training programs. Document and report on project progress, including any issues or challenges encountered. Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for project development. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT technology, data analytics, and problem solving. Must be a US Citizen.Basic Qualifications:- Pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related disciplines- Familiar with Internet of Things (IoT) technology- Familiar with Virtual Reality tools- Must be a U.S. CitizenDesired Skills:- Familiar with WorkLink Virtual Reality software/tools- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; enjoys group problem solving and technical discussions- Willingness to continuously & proactively look for problems and opportunities to improve system performance- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively- Basic knowledge in programming / scripting (e.g. Python, R)Clearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
