Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.Specific Job SummaryThe Manager International Tax is responsible for supporting the tax planning, preparation and review of all foreign tax reporting requirements, tax compliance for international operation processes for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation's (MVWC) assisting with tax audits and evaluating tax planning opportunities in various jurisdictions.Expected Contributions
Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.
establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.

contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).

Specific Expected Contributions
Prepares analysis of various book and tax difference (from Local GAAP) and tax reserves to support the quarterly tax provision process under ASC 740 for foreign entities.
Prepares summary of estimated tax for foreign entities.
Support senior associates in Managing transfer pricing requirements including master and local files and jurisdictional reporting (CbC reports).
Researches and documents tax issues and processes.
Assist with responses in support of the tax notices and audits in various foreign jurisdictions
Performs various General Ledger queries to gather information required for tax analysis including tax general ledger account analysis.
Maintains reporting calendar of foreign tax filing of all MVW foreign entities.
May review work prepared by administrative assistants or tax analysts.
Assistance with research in special projects as needed.
Specific Candidate ProfileEducation
Bachelor of Finance, Accounting or in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
CPA or Master of Taxation preferred
Experience
At least three (3) years of international tax experience with similar size organizations in a public or corporate environment.
International tax (compliance & provision) experience preferred.
Strong Excel skills; ability to create large workbooks and create formulas, macros, pivot tables
Proficiency in PC based applications including Excel, MS Access and MS Word.
Strong communication skills (oral, written, one-on-one, group).
Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task, be adaptable and successfully work in dynamic work environment with varying managers and leadership styles
Ability to work extended hours, especially during international tax compliance season to ensure all assigned work is completed timely and accurately.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
