This is a full-time position that is responsible for conducting research on multiple databases to ensure all desired or required information is received in its entirety and is accurate. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include:
Conducting in-depth research for accurate and complete criminal justice information by utilizing internal and external databases;
Contacting other criminal justice agencies to ensure all information received is complete and accurate;
Analyzing reports for discrepancies and identifying potential problems in criminal history records;
Assisting with electronic arrest submissions to ensure timely and accurate processing of records;
Monitoring and resolving criminal history records submission errors;
Maintaining various logs and records of the requests received and processed; and
Assisting in training new members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;
Knowledge of the criminal justice system;
Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data;
Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;
Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data;
Ability to operate computers and other office equipment; and
Ability to monitor criminal justice information activities.
BASE SALARY:
41,200.00

BACKGROUND:
FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.
NOTES:
Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
