AVP- Capital Controllers Group RWA Controller (Hybrid)

The Capital Controllers Group sits within the Finance organization. Within the Captial Controllers Group, the RWA Controllers team is responsible for risk weighted asset calculations under US Basel 3 Rules for Citigroup and CBNA. Specifically, this role will cover Retail products under the capital rules.The Retail RWA Analyst is a professional who will join our team for overall determination of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE) for Retail Exposures. This includes (i) supporting the computational methodologies used to determine Standardized and Advanced RWAs, (ii) ensuring the accurate implementation of those methodologies within Citi’s infrastructure, and (iii) supporting remediation regulatory capital issues.The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter who can successfully work in a team environment often under time constraints. Basic knowledge of Basel capital rules and experience with their application is a prerequisite for this role.Responsibilities:

Support the analysis and submissions of month end/quarter end reports, including verification of RWA results and timely submission of any RWA related deliverables.

Assist with running, reviewing, and verifying control reports related to RWA and SLE

Assist with remediation activities that encompass governance, data and non-data controls, processes, system implementation and regulatory reporting

Identify limitations in data, process, rule interpretation, and any other matters related to accurate RWA implementation and remediation

Develop a strong working relationship with Finance, Business, Treasury, Technology, Audit, Independent risk and other counterparts across the organization

Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events

Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures

Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

2-5 years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Experience and understanding in Standardized and Advanced US regulatory capital rules for Retail exposures will be a plus 5+ years of related experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel and Powerpoint

Familiarity / experience with coding language such as Python is preferred but not required

Ability to work with multiple functions

Proven problem-solving skills

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance, Accounting or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Master’s Degree preferred
