Our clients include DHS, DHA, DoS, USMC, US Army, HHS/Indian Health Service, Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education, among many more.Primary FocusThe ServiceNow Discovery module to ensure accurate and comprehensive discovery of configuration items (CIs) in our client’s IT environment. You will work closely with IT teams to configure and maintain Discovery schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the effective integration of discovered data with the broader ServiceNow ecosystem. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities

Configure, schedule, and manage Discovery jobs to ensure accurate and timely discovery of CIs across the IT environment.

Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Discovery data with other ServiceNow modules such as CMDB, Incident Management, Change Management, and Asset Management.

Configuration: Maintain and optimize Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors to ensure efficient and accurate data collection.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Discovery, including troubleshooting failed Discovery jobs and addressing data accuracy concerns.

Data Accuracy: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by validating and reconciling discovered data.

Service Mapping: Implement and manage Service Mapping to visualize and understand service dependencies and interactions, ensuring that the service maps accurately reflect the discovered infrastructure and applications.

MID Server Maintenance: Manage and maintain the MID Server applications used for Discovery processes, ensuring their configuration, performance, and connectivity are optimized for effective data collection and integration.

CSDM 4.0: Leverage Common Service Data Model (CSDM) 4.0 principles to structure and manage data within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with industry standards and improving data quality and usability.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Discovery configurations, processes, and best practices.

Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on Discovery operations, data quality, and CI status to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, address issues, and optimize Discovery processes.

QualificationsMinimum Job Skills and QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in ServiceNow, 2+ managing and configuring ServiceNow Discovery, including hands-on experience with Discovery patterns, probes, sensors, service mapping, and CSDM 4.0.

Proficiency in ServiceNow platform scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), Discovery configuration, CMDB management, service mapping, and CSDM.

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery or similar relevant certifications preferred.

Ability obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to work well independently on defined tasks.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office; including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other general software applications.

Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time.

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.

Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.

May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
