Project Engineer/Project Manager

Kaikor Construction Group is seeking Project Engineers to join our team. This job opportunity provides a good balance between office and field work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Read, research, & interpret project documents (e.g., plans, specifications, addendums, etc.)

Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Coordinate and monitor the assigned projects.

Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards on specifications.

Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.

Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.

Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

Requirements:

BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Work experience as an estimator/project engineer or related field preferred

Knowledgeable at reading plans and specs

Ability to perform mathematical/geometric calculations

Advanced MS Office skills

Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards in construction/engineering

Ability to work with multiple disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical, landscaping) projects

Ability to communicate & cooperate with other employees, personnel, & clients

Ability to solve problems and work under pressure

Project management and supervision skills

Decision making ability and leadership skills

Time management and organization skills

Potential for outer island travel

Ability to work independently
