Above Average Candle Studio, located in Chicago's North Park Neighborhood is HIRING Candle Studio Assistants! With over 1k+ Perfect 5 Star Reviews, Above Average Candle Studio is the premier destination for date night, birthdays, bridal showers and team building activities. We're looking for some amazing people who have a true passion for creating an above average experience, fragrance, candles and natural skin and beauty products. You'll host/teach fun, upbeat, engaging and informative Candle Making and Crafting DIY Workshops (ex. floral arranging, dessert candle decorating, glow in the dark candles) to help create special above average memories & moments for our Guests!

Responsibilities:

- Host and instruct fun themed candle making classes

- Assist with candle studio social media/administrative duties (this includes capturing content in the moment)

- Assist with making candles

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

- Previous experience in retail, customer service or hospitality environment preferred

- Must be very punctual

- Outgoing, Talkative and Lively Personality is a MUST and works well with this role

- Must have a passion for providing exceptional experiences that go beyond expectations

- Ability to work in a highly fragrant environment - Ability to stand for extended periods of time

- Ability to ask for reviews and elevate experiences in the moment

- Attention to detail and ability to follow workshop structure, timelines, studio policies & instructions accurately - Flexible schedule to accommodate studio needs; nights, weekends & holidays

- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and keep track of supplies
