Job Summary: The Security Guard is primarily responsible for maintaining the site safe and secure.
Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct regular patrols around the parking lot, building and perimeter to discourage criminal activities. Reports suspicious activities and incidences to supervisor. Contact supervisor, law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency. Open or close doors depending on the location. After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
Report property damages (graffiti, broken windows and doors, lights not working properly etc.)
Enforcement of property rules and regulations.
Tenant and visitor assistance.
Enforcement of property rules and regulations.
Provide incident logs and activity reports.
License plate monitoring for trespassers or banned individuals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Authoritative verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
Education and Experience: Current State of Illinois PERC card. Security guard training certification. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience a plus. Valid Driver’s License required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly. Ability to physically stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time for the majority of your shift.
