Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic

Topsham, Maine
Crooker Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic, to be based in Topsham shop, with occasional travel to various client sites and other Crooker facilities.
Requirements of the Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic:
A valid commercial driver’s license class A or B
Basic computer skills to run scanning machines
Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills
Be able to work independently and successfully switch between tasks throughout the day
Flexibility is needed, as the necessary schedule may include long days, nights, and/or weekends
Previous experience with a heavy construction and paving company is preferred

Responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic:
Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and general troubleshooting of our heavy construction equipment.
Position requires independent responsibility; however, Mechanics may be required to work as a team to complete larger or more complex repairs and maintenance projects.
