Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be primarily focused on maximizing the collection of taxes and fees, analyzing financial records, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. As a Staff Accountant, you will also be responsible for monthly revenue analysis and reporting, as well as handling escalated customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Maximize the collection of taxes and fees due, ensuring adherence to laws, program guidelines, and regulations. Analyze the financial records of businesses to identify and resolve issues, and generate bills and correspondence as needed. Develop new strategies to achieve revenue maximization and resolve issues related to revenue analysis. Conduct monthly revenue analysis and prepare reports, maintaining documentation of all revenue-related activity. Assist with escalated customer inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person. Verify and calculate adjustments to bills. Document policies, procedures, and workflows, ensuring compliance and understanding of laws. Conduct research related to financial records and revenue analysis.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to analyze financial statements and resolve related issues Experience in Revenue Accounting and Reporting Demonstrated ability to manage Monthly Revenue Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Familiarity with accounting software and databases Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Commitment to continuous professional development.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
