Oversee daily operations of the CNC manufacturing floor, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Manage and mentor a team of CNC operators, machinists, and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.
Monitor production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any production issues and ensure adherence to specifications.
Manage inventory of materials and tools, ensuring availability for production needs.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, quality metrics, and team performance to upper management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience managing a CNC manufacturing shop or similar environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent understanding of CNC machining processes, equipment, and programming.
Proficient in production planning and scheduling techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Technical degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
