Universal Banker

Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Universal Banker to join our team in the Credit Union industry, located in Worcester, Massachusetts. As a Universal Banker, you will be tasked with assisting customers with their banking transactions, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist customers with various account transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments. Maintain accurate records of all customer transactions and interactions for future reference. Open and service all deposit accounts and consumer loan products for customers while providing high quality customer service. Assist in the opening and servicing of Mortgages, IRAs, and Business deposit or lending products. Refer complex matters and inquiries to management, coworkers, or specialists when necessary. Handle inbound calls from customers promptly and professionally, resolving issues when possible and escalating when necessary. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary, such as notifying customers of any unusual activity. Handle cash activity with accuracy and integrity, adhering to all cash handling policies and procedures. Process bank deposits and other bank transactions in an efficient and timely manner. Continuously promote and support all services to new and existing customers. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a banking environment or related field Proven experience in handling cash activities and bank transactions Proficiency in answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service Demonstrable experience with bank deposit procedures and cash handling Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with banking software and systems High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions Comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently Knowledge of credit union industry standards and practices High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated.
