Licensed Journeyman Electrician – Residential Solar (Delta Power Group)

Compensation: $1,500/month base pay for license usage + paid site visits

We are expanding our team and seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support our residential solar inspection and compliance process.
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, licensed Journeyman Electrician to represent Delta Power Group during AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) inspections for residential solar projects. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, communicates clearly, and is committed to ensuring installations meet all electrical and building code requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in AHJ inspections for residential solar installations.
- Serve as the on-site licensed electrician during inspections as required.
- Take thorough notes during inspector meetings, documenting all feedback and required corrections.
- Evaluate installations that fail inspection to identify code-related deficiencies.
- Provide a detailed, personalized written report for each failed inspection, outlining corrective actions needed to bring the installation back to code.
- Collaborate with our installation teams to ensure accurate and complete repairs or upgrades prior to re-inspection.
- Maintain professionalism and positive communication with inspectors, customers, and internal staff.
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (required).
- Experience with residential electrical work; solar experience preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document findings clearly.
- Reliable transportation for site visits.
Compensation
$1,500/month base pay for use of license.
Additional pay for each site visit/inspection (rate determined based on distance and scope).
