Title: Full-Time Male Caregiver Needed – One Week On / One Week Off – Mental Health Support (Grand Rapids)
Compensation: $3,750 per working week (paid only for on-weeks)
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (24/7 during on-weeks)
Location: Grand Rapids
We are seeking a male who is highly experienced, steady, and compassionate full-time caregiver to support an adult with significant mental health needs. This role follows a unique rotating schedule: you work one full week (24/7) and then have the following week off. Compensation is provided only for the weeks worked.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Extensive experience with mental or behavioral health caregiving
Able to maintain firm, clear boundaries while remaining kind and patient
Skilled in de-escalation and crisis management
Excellent references
Dependable, grounded, and calm under pressure
Responsibilities:
Provide continuous support and oversight during on-weeks
Maintain a structured, stable, and calm environment
Light housekeeping and laundry
Meal preparation and basic cooking
Running errands as needed
Provide companionship
Requirements:
Prior experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently for extended periods
Willingness to pass a full background and security check
Commitment to a long-term, one-week-on/one-week-off rotation
