Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform basic bacterial culturing using proper aseptic technique and prepare media in accordance with laboratory standards.Conduct tissue processing and immunoassays, including ELISA and Western blot, using serum and other biological samples.Execute fundamental molecular biology procedures such as PCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR, DNA/RNA purification, and protein analysis.Prepare reagents, manage clinical sample workflows, and ensure accurate processing and documentation.Perform data entry, verification, and recordkeeping in accordance with scientific protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare written reports and summaries of assay results as needed.Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new laboratory skills and methodologies.Work independently as a self-starter with strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks to maintain efficient workflow.Follow written procedures with precision and consistency.Maintain laboratory cleanliness and support general laboratory operations as required.Order, track, and maintain laboratory supplies, including reagents, consumables, gloves, and cleaning materials.Performing larger-scale immunoassays and nucleic acid purification using automated platforms.Assisting with GLP and non-GLP clinical studies (laboratory tasks only; training provided).Supporting tissue culture and in vitro assays involving infectious or zoonotic organisms.Additional training will be provided for any required skills not yet acquired.
