As the Healthcare Compliance Officer, you will provide regulatory guidance and facilitate compliance with state and federal rules, regulations, licensing, accreditation requirements, and support the quality of state operated programs across Minnesota.This position is primarily telework and will require travel to attend meetings in the office and to program sites within the service area. This team is currently teleworking; however, this may change in the future with notice. Upon hire employees will be required to complete a telework agreement.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting, developing, and monitoring a quality program that complies with regulating bodies and provides clients and patients with high quality care through the use of healthcare best practices, policies and performance improvement projects
Gathering, measuring and analyzing data used to monitor performance metrics, provide recommendations to program leadership and assist decision making and long-range planning
Creating a variety of documents and presentations including letters, research summaries, narrative reports and educational materials
Minimum QualificationsTo qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:Three years of accreditation experience in at least three of the following areas:
Healthcare management
Behavioral healthcare management
Community based services
Patient care experience
Quality care
Quality data collection and reporting
Compliance
Patient safety
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in behavioral health management, public administration, law, clinical health professions, or other related degrees.
Experience in compliance and risk management
Experience with regulatory bodies such as Department of Human Services (DHS) Licensing, County Licensing, and Minnesota Statutes (including, but not limited to 245D, 245A, 245C, 260E, 253B).
Experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), Commission of Accreditation and Rehabilitations Facilities (CARF), or other accreditation and survey process required.
