O&M Lead Operator

Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement. Position Purpose: O&M Lead Operator is responsible for performing various general labor activities that include the operation & maintenance of various equipment at different facilities.  Must have the ability to operate air compressor and pneumatic equipment.  Ensures mechanical readiness of plant equipment and processes through the proper development and implementation of maintenance procedures.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for operating and monitoring Main Control System, either manually or by computer interface.Performs regular checks of equipment conditions, noting deficiencies and following maintenance procedures. Notifies supervisor of needed maintenance.Communicate effectively written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisor, managers, and others when necessary. Other duties as needed and as assignedCarries out the position responsibilities in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.Shift work and on-call duty will be required.Work Environment:Must be able to work in all weather conditions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
