Diesel MechanicPay Rate - $25/hr. - $35/hr. (given experience)Description:
Perform preventative and reactive repairs tractors and trailers
Preventive Maintenance including lube, filters, interior/exterior cab, tire inspection (tread, inflation, rotation, wear), oil changes, wheel seals, etc
Engine work including replacing alternators/starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, U-Joints, etc
Conduct MIG/Stick welding as needed (weld on mud-flaps, brackets)
Use a torch and grinder as needed
Use Laptop to hook up to engine and troubleshoot/diagnose issues
Track work through internal Transman (TMT) software
Skills:ASE certificationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:-1+ years' experience performing maintenance on semis, tractors, trailers, or farming equipment (or applicable schooling) Ability to troubleshoot equipment via laptop Experience working with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, suspension
