A Day in the Life:As a Propane Service Technician you will install and repair propane gas systems for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties in our territory. Your tasks will include but are not limited to; setting tanks, trenching lines, checking for and repairing leaks in systems, replacing outdated regulators, and installing and maintaining vaporizers. You will also hook up large commercial propane plants when necessary. You will utilize our energy software system, make sure maintenance records are maintained, and communicate with customers on a regular basis regarding their property and maintenance needs. You will be self-motivated and prioritize projects, work with little or no supervision at times, and be responsible for all tools and equipment issued to you. You will operate various types of equipment, conduct frequent mechanical checks, and oversee the safe and timely completion of all assigned projects.Whats Expected:Professional customer service is expected as you will interact with customersover the phone and at their homes/facilities. You will be constantly exposed to outdoor elements and temperatures and will be expected to perform in cold temperatures during peak demand times. At times you will be expected to complete fuel and propane deliveries as directed, and you may assist with additional operations including for other departments as necessary. You will be asked to help with maintaining and cleaning location facilities to meet company standards. You will be exposed to fuels, lubricants, and various agricultural products. Physically, you will stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl on a regular basis. You will be expected to climb ladders and enter confined spaces at times. Regularly lifting 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds will be expected. You will be expected to think clearly, problem solve, work hard, and work more hours during busy seasons.
