AHRC NYC is seeking an Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) to help over see their Employment Business Services programs in Staten Island.The role of the ARM is to support the Regional Managers in all areas.specifically in the areas of account management, contract operations, customer services, staff training, and account development. The ARM will be actively involved in assisting the Regional Manager/ Regional Manager/ Regional Operations Director in troubleshooting and stabilizing problematic sites; as well as strategically implementing schedules and systems to make accounts more self-sufficient. This should in turn promote more organization for the existing accounts in the Region and promote growth. The ARM will also be responsible for the proper training of all Supervisory staff, which includes Senior Coordinating Foreperson, Foreperson, Production Specialists, and Lead Porters.  In addition, the ARM will use their expertise to research and identify appropriate resources for the cost analysis necessary to the bidding process.Salary: $60,000 per yearplus a comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information belowESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssign tasks and inspect completed work for conformance to standards of contracts.Manager, order, monitor supplies and equipment within budgetary constrainsMeet all site specific budgetary and compliance guidelines with regards to labor componentResolve worker’s problems (for e.g. poor performance, poor punctuality and attendance, inappropriate work behavior, and other issues) or refer matters to the appointed supervisor.  Train the new worker, record hours worked, recommend discharge of incompetent workers, and perform other personnel duties as required.Must keep an accurate file on all subordinates, which includes annual staff evaluations, communication memos, and disciplinary actions.Must be able to be a back up to (Sr.) Regional Manager who is on vacation or on special assignments.  At these times, he/she must report directly to the Regional Operations Director.Must take on the role of a trainer and/or teacher for supervisory staff throughout all regions.  Specifically in the most practical and safe way to provide landscaping, cleaning, and snow removal services to all accounts.Must be knowledgeable in OSHA standards in the work place and reinforce these standards through training and instruction.Implement work schedules, inventories, back up relief systems, periodical schedules, etc.Manage labor hours effectively in meeting the 80% employment ratio of individuals with developmental disabilities.Communicate professionally and accurately within or outside of the department, i.e. HIRE, Careers, NYSID, Customers, etc.Responsible for completing and responding to all Quality Assurance Reviews (at least once per quarter for each assigned site). Collect all monthly billing in a timely manner (no later than the 5th day of each month, preferably closer to the 1st of the month).  This includes the proper billing of periodical work, collection of time cards, sign in sheets, and computation of hours worked for various contracts.Collect and submit all payroll no later than the end of each week.  The Assistant Regional Manager must keep accurate records and have the organizational skills to make sure that employees are paid accordingly.  More specifically, to assure that all employees are actively using the Tele-time system.  In addition, that Trainee payroll is reviewed and approved on a weekly basis, and Direct Labor employees on a biweekly basis by logging in and using the Tele-time system.Keep an accurate inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment. Keep an accurate record of vacation time off for regular employees and fully utilize the permanent reliefs assigned to the Region.Responsible for securing bids on any machinery or equipment exceeding $1,000.Serve as a working supervisor, who can organize and work along with Periodical Work Crews, but not limited to Floor or Carpet Maintenance.Provide Job training for all new and existing employees.To Supervise: the Senior Coordinating Foreman, Field Supervisor, Foreman, Production Specialist, Lead Workers, and Porters.Respond to emergency calls, including nights, weekends, and/or official holidays.Keep track of the entire department’s vehicle locations and keep up with the necessary updates of insurance cards, registrations, and yearly inspections.  In addition, schedule and provide road tests to any new or existing staff, who will be required to drive for the Agency.Oversee and supervise accounts throughout all the Region or as assigned. To collect the necessary data and assist the (SR.) Regional Manager in costing potential new contracts.To develop on site training program to support individuals with developmental disabilities, non disabled employees including field supervisors, forepeople, lead workers, and support staff.Instruct direct labor employees and rehabilitative staff in all janitorial, landscaping, and general maintenance areas.Fulfill Quality Assurance role within the RegionGeneral duties may not be limited to the above.
