At Cresthill Academy, we are proud to serve exclusively organic meals, snacks and drinks produced daily by our culinary team in kitchen in East Hanover which are distributed to our other area schools daily.
What you’ll do:
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Kitchen Lead to join our staff. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen and/or have completed training from an accredited Culinary School.
Requirements:
Must be reliable and timely
Strong knife skills required
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and remain on your feet for the entire shift
Must maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, doing dishes, and taking out trash
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Cook and prepare hot lunch items
Basic prep work (chopping, dicing, blending, etc.)
Assisting with unpacking and storing grocery deliveries
Supporting kitchen staff with daily tasks and food preparation
Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are met at all times

8:30am-4:30pm
Pay:
$19-$21/hour
Pay is based depending on experience
Must pass a comprehensive childcare background check including fingerprint and criminal check
