Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.Position Purpose:This position has direct responsibility for the management and technical leadership with development and implementation of the Utility Operations EHS Training, Injury Management and Emergency Preparedness & Response. We are seeking an experienced and passionate EHS professional to build and lead a best-in-class program that ensures compliance, fosters a strong safety culture, and equips our workforce to respond effectively to emergencies.Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive EHSS training program for the Utility Division, ensuring alignment with all applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DOHS) and Veolia standards.
Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Assessments (TNA) in partnership with functional leaders to proactively identify and address skill gaps and emerging risks.
Design and deliver engaging and effective EHSS training programs utilizing a variety of methods including ILT, e-learning, VR, and gamification to maximize knowledge retention and application.
Oversee Veolia's Learning Management System (LMS), including content creation, curriculum development, training record management, and reporting to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement a competency assessment process to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and individual employee skill development.
Stay at the forefront of industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the EHSS training program and maintain a leadership position in safety and emergency preparedness.

Work Environment:
Office and field environment.
Travel to individual business units, some overnight travel expected.
QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in the EHS field, including:
Developing and delivering engaging EHS training programs to diverse audiences.
Managing and implementing Emergency Response programs, including drills and responding to actual events.
Utilizing learning technologies such as e-learning platforms, video content systems, virtual meeting platforms, and Virtual Reality (VR) to enhance training effectiveness.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Engaging Presenter & Facilitator: Proven ability to design and deliver impactful training programs to diverse audiences, effectively engaging employees at all levels.
Strategic Program Management: Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills to effectively develop, implement, and evaluate EHSS training and emergency preparedness programs.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, DHS, DOT, and Emergency Management regulations and standards, with a proven ability to translate complex requirements into practical training programs.
Learning Technology Proficiency: Experience leveraging learning technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
Data-Driven Decision Maker: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to analyze data, track program metrics, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve training effectiveness.
Collaborative Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, build consensus, and resolve issues.
Discretion and Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Certification or license not required for this role, however, applicants who have received formal training from Cornerstone or SABA software teams are preferred.
OSHA 501 certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work in front of computer screens.
