Description A northern New Jersey based higher education organization is currently seeking a Controller on an interim basis. The interim Controller will oversee a small staff, and be directly involved with reviewing monthly close activities and results, preparing monthly financial reports for the board, and overseeing tax and audit functions to ensure deadlines are met during the next several months. Additionally, the interim Controller will be responsible for managing grant and endowment accounting activities, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and cash management. The ideal interim Controller will have recent experience working in either a larger non-profit organization or in higher education (colleges or universities) directing accounting and finance operations. The interim Controller will possess strong communication skills, and will have an eye for process improvements.
