Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Jamaica, New York. This role is within the financial industry and primarily involves managing accounts payable, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices. The successful candidate will be based in a fast-paced office environment and will be a critical part of our financial operations team.Responsibilities: Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintaining and updating customer credit records to ensure they remain accurate Resolving customer inquiries related to account payments and reconciliations Conducting regular check runs to ensure all payments are made on time Coding invoices accurately for the correct allocation of expenses Undertaking data entry tasks related to accounts payable and other financial transactions Processing invoices efficiently to ensure timely payments to suppliers and service providers Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data and accounts payable operations Monitoring customer accounts regularly and taking appropriate action when necessary Ensuring all financial data and records are compliant with industry standards and regulations. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes Familiarity with Check Runs procedures Ability to accurately Code Invoices Proficient in Data Entry tasks Experience with Invoice Processing procedures Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle software Experience with QuickBooks software Proficient in SAP software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated problem-solving skills Familiarity with standard office equipment Strong organizational and time management skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
