Gus and Marty's is a new restaurant from the team behind Egg Shop NYC, located on McCarren park in Williamsburg. This is an elevated neighborhood restaurant serving traditional Greek food with a New York sensibility. We are looking for a dynamic hospitality professional with experience as a GM. This will be a fast paced high volume operation and we are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service skills as well as MGMT skills. Must love people, food and wine!

Applicants must have at least 2 year of full service restaurant managing experience in NYC.

Job Description:

Leadership and Team Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff.

Set performance standards and motivate team members to achieve goals.

Foster a positive work environment and ensure high morale among employees.

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant.

Monitor food quality and service standards, making adjustments as needed.

Manage inventory levels and control costs to maximize profitability.

Customer Service Excellence:

Ensure exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high standards of service.

Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.

Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management:

Prepare budgets, track expenses, and manage financial transactions.

Monitor sales and revenue targets, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Optimize profitability through cost control measures and revenue generation strategies.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations following DOH protocol for restaurant standards.

Uphold cleanliness and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role.

Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of restaurant management software and POS systems.

Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts.

Knowledge of financial management principles and procedures.

Working Conditions:

Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and quick decision-making.

Standing and walking for extended periods.
