Onigiri Prep & Front-of-House Assistant
Help assemble and serve onigiri (Japanese rice balls) at our "residency at Jubilee Marketplace in Greenpoint. You’ll handle food assembly, basic prep, and simple front-of-house tasks like guiding customers through the kiosk ordering process.
Responsibilities:
- Make and wrap onigiri to order with consistency and care
- Keep the station stocked, organized, and clean
- Assist with light prep and setup before service
- Greet and help customers at the kiosk if they have questions
Details:
- Hours: Start 3–4 days/week → scale to 5–7 days/week
- $18–22/hr depending on experience
- No prior kitchen experience required — training provided
- Must-Haves: reliability, cleanliness, punctuality, ability to follow instructions
- Nice-to-Haves: Japanese food familiarity, kitchen experience
- Great hands-on entry role in a growing Japanese food concept
