The Whiteface Club and Resort is currently hiring a Restaurant Manager. The position requires excellent customer service skills, experience as a server and bartender, basic knowledge of wine, and experience building and managing a team. We operate two restaurants, three bars, a golf center, marina, and host over 30 weddings per year. We have an excellent Chef with a solid team, a gifted Wedding Coordinator, and several shift supervisors in place, we need that front-of-the-house leader to complete the core team.
Additional responsibilities would include:
Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
Maintaining safety and food quality standards
Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
Organizing schedules
Keeping track of employees’ hours
Recording payroll data
Ordering supplies while staying within budget limitations
Supervising daily shift operations
Ensuring all end-of-day cashouts are correctly completed
Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
Appraising staff performance
Interviewing/recruiting new employees
Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
This is an excellent opportunity for either a seasoned veteran or aspiring GM.
