We are seeking a creative and self-directed Marketing & Digital Communications Coordinator to support our organization’s outreach, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate is local to the Asheville area, comfortable working both remotely and onsite, and brings strong experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and online advertising.
Key Responsibilities
Web & Social Media Management
Manage and grow the organization’s presence across major social media platforms.
Design, create, schedule, and monitor social media campaigns and promotions.
Oversee the SEO strategy to increase organic traffic to the website, including keyword research, on-page SEO, backlink building, and content optimization.
Develop and optimize CPC advertising campaigns on Facebook and other platforms.
Maintain and update website content (WordPress site), ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strong branding.
Create and manage email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and retention, including newsletters, product promotions, and personalized email flows.
Content Development & Communications
Source, create, and manage content for newsletters, blog posts, social posts, and multimedia.
Write compelling copy for digital campaigns, event promotions, and program highlights.
Produce basic graphics, short videos, and branded visual content.
Data, Reporting & Email Marketing
Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns using Google Analytics, social media insights, and email campaign data. Provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
Manage email marketing tools to segment audiences, automate flows, and improve engagement.
Support list-building, donor communications, and audience growth strategies.
On-Site Support
Photograph or record short videos at events and programs.
Support on-site promotional activities, outreach, and community engagement.
Collaborate with team members during occasional in-person meetings or events.
Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, social media management, and online advertising.
Strong understanding of marketing strategies, audience targeting, and engagement best practices.
Experience creating and managing social media campaigns with measurable results.
Skilled in sourcing and managing content development and publishing workflows.
In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and their advertising tools.
