A Snapshot of Your Day:This position requires the successful candidate to lead business development and equipment reliability programs that deliver new product, service repair & processes in the Combustion manufacturing area within Siemens Energy Combustion Products Division.Primary responsibilities will include leadership of internal projects that will reduce beneficial activities within manufacturing and ensure equipment availability to support production plans. Performs project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity, and resource management activities). Complete implementation & continuous improvement plans. Actively maintains internal customer relationships. In addition to providing key leadership in development of new processes, you will need excellent communications skills, possess analytical skills, the ability to work optimally in a team environment, demonstrate a mechanical proficiency and ability to make sound problem assessments.How You’ll Make an Impact:Ø Identify and support projects for improving manufacturing capability, yields, productivity, and capacity.Ø Incorporate Lean Manufacturing where appropriate into the processes, equipment, and tooling.Ø Develop and deliver technical information documents, estimates, reports, or training documentation.Ø Provide technical direction, training and education to internal customers and suppliers.Ø Provide technical support for department improvement projects.Ø Develop and lead new asset installation and Capital projects.Ø Monitors and analyses production and equipment performance metrics to ensure that cost and quality targets are maintained (production yield, defect Pareto’s).Ø Identify and lead projects for improving equipment capability, yields, uptime, productivity, and capacity.Ø Makes full use of condition-based and predictive maintenance tools to support planned production targets and avoid unplanned repair work.Ø Provide technical support for department capital programs (implementation) and department improvement projects.Ø Vallen activity management- Manage inventory settings, develop strategy to meet business goals and needs, take corrective actions when stock outs occur and perform RCA.Ø CI, Flow and workshop involvement-Perform analysis for actual to targets KPI’s, take corrective actions as the need arises when flow is interrupted, Manage Gemba tiered process.Ø Warehouse management-Fixture and development materials, manage outside storage locations to support business requirements.Ø Asset management-perform year audits and take corrective actions for missing items. Manage scrap process for area. Train personnel and update procedures as necessary.Ø Special projects as deemed vital by management.What You Bring:Ø Incumbent will possess a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree (BS) or associate degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment involving welding fabrication and machining.Ø Exposure to lean concepts, MRP systems, quality control systems and maintenance predictive systems.Ø Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Ø Demonstrate leadership qualities in a team environment through assertiveness, dialogue and coordinating timely actions within the department and by outside supporters.Ø Solid understanding of PC applications, CAD software, PLC.Ø Demonstrate leadership skills in a team environment through assertiveness, dialogue and coordinating timely actions within the department and by outside supporters.Ø Preferred candidate will EHS knowledge, experience with lock out/tag out, knowledge of equipment safety procedures and had done routine maintenance in equipment/solving before.About the teamOur Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
