Intro:

Join a high-end commercial cabinetry and millwork company producing architectural casework and custom interiors. Steady work, great team, and projects that showcase true craftsmanship.

Job Summary:

Metrolina Woodworks is seeking an experienced Commercial Laminator to join our high-end production team. We specialize in architectural-grade cabinetry and custom millwork for luxury commercial spaces—including corporate offices, schools, healthcare facilities, restaurants, and other unique environments.

This position is not residential woodworking—it’s for skilled craftsmen with experience laminating panels, casework components, and architectural-grade parts with precision, consistency, and pride. If you take ownership of your craft and enjoy producing materials that define the quality of a finished project, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply high-pressure laminates (HPL), veneers, and specialty materials to substrates and casework components.

- Trim, edge, and finish laminated panels to meet precise specifications and clean visual standards.

- Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production notes to ensure accuracy and material alignment.

- Operate edgebander, glue sprayer, rollers, routers, and other lamination equipment safely and efficiently.

- Inspect materials for quality before, during, and after lamination to maintain consistency and craftsmanship.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to company and OSHA safety standards.

- Collaborate with builders, cutters, and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow.

- Troubleshoot lamination issues or defects proactively to minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications:

- 2+ years of professional experience in laminate application, woodworking, or millwork production.

- Strong understanding of laminate types, adhesives, substrates, and bonding techniques.

- Ability to read and follow shop drawings and fabrication instructions accurately.

- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, trimming tools, and lamination equipment.

- Physical ability to lift, handle, and position sheet goods and panels safely.

- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with architectural-grade casework or commercial millwork fabrication.

- Knowledge of specialty laminates and veneer layup.

- Familiarity with cabinet parts and assembly methods.

- Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
