About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lending Operations Director to join our consumer credit card services organization.In this role, you will:
Direct strategy and change in credit card origination and underwriting decisioning for the business line through lending lifecycle. Key functions include: underwriting, application fraud, data verification/validation and inbound contact center
Lead a team that is responsible for the development and ownership of the end-to-end credit card underwriting lifecycle; credit risk strategies as well as oversight of operations practices to ensure adherence to risk requirements.
Provide and direct complex analysis on credit card risk strategy effectiveness to identify emerging risks, assess effectiveness of existing strategies, ensure adherence to regulatory guidance, and establish a culture of intentional testing in strategic change recommendations and establish risk threshold that help business stay within risk appetite limits.
Will lead the risk strategy, RCSA, Control Creation, Issue Remediation and Quality Monitoring for in scope operational processes.
Drive lean management principles and effective capacity planning to address customer needs and process credit underwriting decisions through the lending lifecycle.
Work with product partners to develop an advanced strategic vision and roadmap that delivers exceptional customer experience, digitization, and low touch workflow.
Drive fraud application strategy design for customer decisioning and viability.
Monitor industry and economic trends on credit card industry as well as changes in consumer behavior to understand impacts.
Approve and formulate policies, procedures, and methods associated with Credit Card Lending Operations which directly impact the business line or indirectly affect the entire organization.
Oversee execution of credit card underwriting procedures while maintaining high levels of loan quality with minimum deficiencies and errors
Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including experienced leadership.
Coach, influence, develop, and manage Lending Operations team, including decisions related to performance.
Build a strong culture of engagement and empowerment that leads to a high performing team.
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending Operations
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
4+ years of Management experience

10 + year credit & lending experience
10+ years leadership experience
Strong experience in credit card origination, underwriting, and entire credit cycle
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and direct strategic credit portfolio decisions.
Strong risk management, RCSA experience
Strong experience in leading multiple critical strategic priorities
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a focus on delivery management
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
Critical eye for detail and strong project management skills
Highly motivated, confident, and proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, able to perform under pressure and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
