Fire on the Mountain is a Portland-based restaurant with six brick and mortar units. We pride ourselves in serving quality ingredients that are locally sourced, humanely raised and house-made. Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage: $16.50 per hour plus tips

Tips: average tips range $8-12 per hour

Qualifications and Requirements:

1+ years of operations experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry

Flexibility with open availability, including nights and weekends

Must be 21 years of age or older

OLCC license required

Food handler certification required

Attention to detail and strong sense of hospitality

Effective communication skills, ability to anticipate customer needs

Quick decision-making and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment

Ability to collaborate with a team to achieve shared goals

Physical Requirements:

As a member of our team, you will be working in a kitchen environment. This requires walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing and pulling to handle or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will be asked to operate traditional restaurant equipment. Depending on the location, you may need to go up and down stairs. The ability to communicate and exchange information with coworkers and others is also required. You will be expected to comply with all public health requirements.

Working Conditions:

High noise levels due to operations, guests and overhead music

Ability to work in close quarters and around heat

May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on shop (varied weather conditions are expected); including delivering order car side to the guest

Varying schedule to include opening and closing shifts, holidays and extended hours as business dictates

Handle cooked or raw meat and possible allergens including soy, wheat, dairy, strawberries and/or coconut
