Job Title: SandblasterSwing Shift Schedule Mon-FriJob DescriptionAs a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for removing carbon wicks and excess silicon from products using manual sandblasting equipment. This role involves loading products, operating sandblasting machines, and managing the operation of multiple automated sandblasting machines simultaneously. You will also inspect the surface finish of products to determine the completion of the sandblast process and prepare surfaces to sandblast serial numbers into products.Responsibilities
Remove carbon wicks and excess silicon from products using manual sandblasting equipment
Load products and operate sandblasting machines, attaching products to fixtures as needed
Manage the operation of multiple automated sandblasting machines simultaneously
Visually inspect the surface finish of products to determine the completion of the sandblast process
Determine serial number location and prepare surfaces to sandblast serial numbers into products using manual sandblast machines
Set up and operate both manual and automatic equipment for sanding, powder coating, grinding, polishing, and deburring
Essential Skills
Understanding of basic shop math and safety processes
Familiarity with measuring instruments, abrasive tooling, materials, drawings, machine functions, and controls
Experience with SiC and Silica Sand Blasting Machines, Manual and Auto Blast cabinets, Electric and Air powered hand grinders, Dremels, various sanding tools, and measuring instruments
Ability to follow processes correctly to avoid return products for defects or breakage
Capability to measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of sandblasting, beadblasting, grinding, deburring, and finishing processes
Experience with production line operations
