At Icon Foods, we’re in the business of making “better-for-you” taste incredible. We help food and beverage brands cut sugar without cutting corners, supplying clean-label sweeteners, fibers, and functional ingredients to some of the most innovative companies in the industry.
Now we’re looking for a sharp, proactive Procurement / Buyer / Supply Chain Manager to join our team and own the full flow of ingredients from supplier to customer. This role combines procurement savvy with logistical finesse, the kind of person who thrives on keeping things moving, data clean, and costs in check.
What You’ll Do
Own procurement strategy, qualify and manage multi-source suppliers for every key ingredient, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure continuity of supply.
Forecast and plan inventory, collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts or over-buying.
Oversee inbound logistics, coordinate container shipments, customs clearance, and freight forwarders while minimizing cost per pound.
Manage warehouse flow, receiving, storage, and outbound shipping; enforce FIFO/FEFO rotation and traceability.
Optimize systems and reporting, maintain ERP accuracy, track OTIF, supplier performance, and cost variances.
Continuously improve, identify opportunities to tighten the supply chain, cut lead times, and build redundancy into critical SKUs.
What You Bring
5+ years of procurement, supply chain, or logistics experience in food, ingredients, or manufacturing.
Strong negotiation skills and a data-driven mindset.
Hands-on familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Excel/Sheets.
Understanding of FDA/FSMA requirements (bonus if you know 21 CFR and GRAS documentation).
You’re detail-obsessed but can zoom out to see the big picture.
A team player who communicates clearly, owns outcomes, and loves fixing inefficiencies.
