MTM Transit, in partnership with the Salem Area Mass Transit, is looking for Full Time Drivers to operate the ADA Paratransit, Shop & Ride and Fixed Regional routes in Salem, OR. We currently have training classes that start every other week!

What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
-High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-Must possess a valid Oregon Class B CDL (at least a permit to start)
-Must have a minimum of 5 years driving history
-No more than five (5) moving violations in three (3) years
-No more than two (2) at-fault or chargeable accidents in the past five (5) years
-No suspension or revocations of driving privileges within the past (5) years
-No DUI or DWI convictions
-No conviction in the last 10 years of: a felony, drug and alcohol offense. Reckless driving, hit & run, leaving the scene of an accident, negligent driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, vehicular assault or homicide.
-Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
-Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record check
-Valid authorization to work in the United States
-Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history
Skills:
-Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice
-Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
-Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
-Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules
-Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations
-Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea
What You’ll Do:
-Provide safe and reliabletransportation
-Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills
-Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders
-Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle
-Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols
-Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of thecustomer
-Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities
-Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired
-Complete paperwork asrequired
-Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
