Responsibilities Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. How will you make a difference at LBHH? Food Service Cooks prepare meals as outlined on the menu for patients, employees, medical staff and visitors to deliver quality and delicious meals. Food Service Cooks are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:
Take and record food temperatures at mealtime. Follow recipes and directions as indicated.
Properly clean work area and take down and clean serving line promptly after meals.
Accept and reconcile deliveries and put away stock in a timely manner.
Follow hospital safety regulations when operating department equipment.
Follow safety regulations regarding water temperature and sanitization procedures. Record temperature of refrigerator.
Consistently engages and interacts with our patients and their families by using the treatment principles of Trauma Responsive Care.

What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
High School Diploma/GED
One year of Food Service experience
